Shot Clipboard

Waco Composites - one of the companies which supplies our bullet resistant material - has shot a board for us. Here are the photos. At our request, in their test facilities, they shot our UL Level I Ballistic Clipboard (13"x16") with a 38, a 22 and a 9mm.

In the 12 o'clock position is the 38, clocked at 859 feet/sec.

At 9 o'clock is the 22, clocked at 1102 feet/sec.

At 6 o'clock is the 9mm, clocked 1171 feet/sec.

The copper jacket of the 38 is easy to see. The 22 and the 9mm were simply absorbed by the board. This is great, huh? Take a look at the closeup photos.

This is the side you're on. The impact only knocked off some paint.

The bulge is where the 9mm is inside the board.

Of course the 22 and the 38 are in there also. They simply do not make a bulge.
